Forthcoming Theme Needs You!
The new theme is at a point I would call “beta”. The behind-the-scenes stuff is all finished (sorry it took so long; we switched the theme completely at one point, and I had to rewrite most of what came with the new one).
Now it’s up to everyone who visits UNSCleric.com to decide on the visual style. Head on over to http://www.quasiplad.com/lordgradient/ and let us know what you all like or dislike! Once we’re done, we’ll have a theme that — hopefully — everyone will like.

The banner is cool, but the lettering position of
UNS
CLE
RIC
is too plain.
The graphics inside the banner are pretty well laid out, although I’d color variation a few different versions so that every time a person comes to the site they may get a different shaded banner.
The rest of the site as it sits is well done, I’d be interested in hearing about your prices to advertise my site on yours. Roughly a 150 H x 100 W flash ad.

would it be too much bandwidth for our gamer tags to be incorprated into the site? or am i just asking for way too much? just an idea, i dont know much about having your own website and what all is involved, so i just thought i would shoot an idea out there. do you have a date (or hope to have it done by) for when this new look for the site will be done?

Extra features like gamertags and avatars are things I’ll look into adding — with Cleric’s approval — after the theme itself is finished. Right now I want to focus on the more fundamental parts of the theme.

Cleric is on my XBL friend’s list, and is getting online reguarly. I have messaged him reguarding the site, but he has not responded. I don’t know what is going on but I hopw the site isn’t dead.

From my discussions with Cleric, he has stated that he has lost the time, and interest, in keeping the site going.
It seemed extremely strange to hear this coming from him as he has dedicated himself to this site for the past few years without leave.
Myself, LG, and Cleric all worked on the new site through the summer, with many frustrations and delays and, as you can see, it never got put up. It’s pretty annoying, and understandingly disappointing for the readers.
So as for now, yes, I do believe this site is dead. I’ll have to talk more to Cleric, if he doesnt chime in on this (as I could not believe that he wouldnt check new comments), so no one really knows at this point.
Might come back, might be done.

Since the site’s move to this new blog, I don’t get e-mails anymore when someone comments, so I’m just seeing all these for the first time right now.
Twisted was right with everything he said, and right now I don’t plan on continuing the site into the future. I do hope to someday begin getting the time to finish The Halography on its new page, and would also like to put up a decent theme for this page, just so that everything that has been done, is still there. I’ll always pay for my server and my domain name is bought for the next 16 months or so, so that’s staying and probably always will.
I haven’t talked to LG in months, and he’s never online anymore, but hopefully sometime soon he could put up the new theme for this blog.
I do want to continue the site, but I don’t have time to do anything more than just repeat what other blogs are saying, so it just feels like a waste of everyone’s time. I hope a day comes when I have the time and ability to do stuff on the site again, but after a 40 hour work week, donating plasma for extra cash, and going to the gym every other day after work, there’s not much disposable time anymore, and if I have to choose between getting a little bit of gaming in, or trying to summarize what other sites have already posted for everyone to see, I’m going to go with the gaming, as that is what I love to do.
Once a new theme goes up and stuff is set I’ll make a proper post about this. Thanks to everyone who came to the site throughout the years. I have a lot of good memories related to this site, and I’m glad I did it and you all came.

Wow. What a bunch of bullshit.
Cleric, you didn’t repeat what other sites said. You took the top news, and elaborated it in a good way. You gave us a lot of very useful information that would have never reach us from any other of these shitty sites on the net. Not only that, you reported on stuff that no one else did. You got the inside scoop basically.
Bring the site back.

but can’t say I wouldn’t understand your point of view. It takes more than many of us would attempt to keep a site updated and running, for that your considered one of the greats in my book. Thanks for all your hard work in the past and I wish you NOTHING but the best in your long future. I can’t say I’m glad to see the site go, because I’m not… but I’m good with knowing that if you can’t give it your all and that if it takes away from other things you need to do more to be happy…then it’s time. Best of luck in whatever you do and where life takes you Cleric, you deserve it.

While it’s sad to see it end like this, at a time when I felt the site was on a path for great things, I could never ask anyone to put something like this in front of personal happiness and day-to-day lives.
The site will still be here, and if you choose to return and resurrect it, that’s fine.
The unfortunate side of that is, while the site may come back, the readers may not and never return.
RIP UNSCleric.com, we hardly knew ya.
