Universal begins work on BioShock film
Gore Verbinski (The Ring, Pirates of the Caribbean director) has been snagged to direct the movie adaptation of Bioshock.
Even better, John Logan, the screenwriter on The Last Samurai, The Aviator, Gladiator and more, is going to be doing the screenplay. Take-Two (who owns the BioShock IP) Chairman, Strauss Zelnick, has supposedly structured the deal in such a way that this is all certain to happen. - X3F & Variety.com
I am very impressed with all the names behind this movie already, and with Gore Verbinski working on it, I’m not as worried that they’ll ruin the feel of the game when it goes to the big screen. This will be an interesting story to watch over the coming years, stay tuned.

I would assume anything outside the windows of the buildings they’re in would be. Just thinking about how the movie would be makes me remember all the cool moments and things in BioShock, I especially love the beginning. I wonder if they’ll try and time the sequel to come out around the time of the movie.

OH MY GOD!!!!!! I loved this game. I mean I just absolutely loved this game. I heard someone say somewhere that “it’s just another shooter”. And I obviously they had not played before saying that. I mean I have never experienced a shooter like that before. And I love me some Halo and COD4 but honestly it reminded me of Fallout 1.
I love fallout for not only the reason that it was a great game. But the world was amazing and really well detailed. That is what drew me in about Fallout and what drew me immedately in with Bioshock. Great game yes, but such an amazing world in Rapture. I mean I wanted to dive into the game just to find out what the heck happened.
