Xbox Live Points Sale (Update)
I meant to post about this a week ago today when the story first broke over on the CAG forums, but I forgot all about it until today when it suddenly hit the mainstream sites a week later.
Starting Sunday at Circuit City, you can save $20 with the purchase of any 2 Xbox Live accessories $19.99 & up, with the 1600 point cards included. Instead of 80 points = 1 dollar, they now would only cost you 160 would = 1 dollar. I have personally already picked up six cards, with plans to pick up some more throughout the week at Circuit City and possibly other stores via price-matching. Remember, you can go buy your cards now and then price-match them once the sale goes live on Sunday. It’s time to stock up.
Update: I was able to price-match six more cards at a single Best Buy this afternoon, and was also able to price adjust the other six recently bought cards at Circuit City (had to do it with two different Circuit City’s though.) Price matching was hit or miss at Best Buys, cause I had one of the rwo deny me, but it will obviously work with a little bit of luck.

You can save $20 with the purchase of any Xbox 360 accessory including Microsoft Points. Many are choosing to just grab up plenty of points instead of wireless headsets and other accessories. […]

[…] I’ve been a member over at CheapAssGamer.com now for over four years, from the very beginning of the site. Since May 2006, a member by the name of Speedy1961 has given the forums over there a treat by posting all the Sunday ads early for everyone to see, he does it for every store, and usually has them a week or two in advance. Lately, he broke the news of the PS3 price-drop (reported here) and also the Microsoft Points deal, resulting in many people saving hundreds of dollars, myself included. Due to this site, and this member, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars at Circuit City that I never would have otherwise, but now after today, I may have to begin a boycott of the store. […]
