UNSCleric.com - Two Years Later

Let’s have a moment of silence for what should have been the week of E3.

RIP Electronic Entertainment Expo: 1994-2006

Shadowrun now has a release date of May 29th for both Windows Vista and Xbox 360.

We’re 6 and a half days away from the release of the Halo 3 Beta.  Bungie.net has a countdown on the front page of their site as well.  It was a year ago today that Halo 3 was officially announced to exist.

Halo 2 celebrates a few things today as well.  It’s Halo 2’s 2.5 year anniversary and it also hit 5 million players and 700 million games played today.

Update: All stats on Halo 2 will be reset TONIGHT, and the two new maps that came out a few weeks ago will be put into Matchmaking.  These two maps will be free in early July as well.

The demo for Forza 2 will hit Xbox Live sometime tonight as well.

The 2007 Spring Update also came out around 12 hours ago as well, but before I experience the update for myself, I wanted to write up an entry concerning the future of this site.

Back on May 9th, 2005, I started the roots of UNSCleric.com over at xanga.com/xbox360.

As you may have noticed, the site has not been getting updated as frequently as it used to be, not even close.  For one thing, I’ve stopped posting about most Xbox Live Arcade of Xbox Live Marketplace downloads, since everybody can see that kind of stuff over at MajorNelson.com.  I’ll probably continue to not post about that kind of stuff on a regular basis, but I do want to keep the site going, even though I don’t have the time to have it the way it used to be.  What I’m thinking, is that I’ll post one or two big entries a week, discussing the events of the week, with maybe one or two entries in between those entries incase something big is announced or is happening.  I’m not sure what day or days these entries will occur on, but I’m going to try and keep it consistent and regular.  It’ll be kind of like a text version of a blogcast, which most people use to discuss the previous week’s events and give their opinion on them.

Moving the site in this direction not only requires less time on the site, but also means the site will have more original content written by myself, instead of just links to other site’s articles.  This will make the site better overall I think, especially in contrast to how it’s been the past couple months.

So who all is going to be playing the Halo 3 beta next week?
