Crackdown On Crime

Only the initial shipment of Crackdown will come with access to the Halo 3 beta, and it’s the last way you can get into the beta.  There is one other way coming out later this week, but more on that later.  You can pre-order Crackdown at nearly any store, but I don’t know of any additional pre-order bonuses besides knowing you will for sure get the game with the beta code included.  Circuit City will have Crackdown on February 21st at 5pm, and most GameStops will not receive the game until the 21st either.  There is still no ETA or details on the Halo 3 beta, but I’m sure all that will be announced before Crackdown comes out.

    Hey guys. Just thought I’d give a little update here..

    I just got my 360 back from repair. It appears they sent me a brand new one from what I can tell.

    Little recap:

    360 broke.

    COMPLETELY out of warranty (any warranty)

    All I had to do was ship it myself (a mere 11 or so bucks) and they sent me another one for free.

    How’s that for customer support? And I didn’t even have to sue them! *eyes sony*

    Wasn’t it just like three days ago that you thought they didn’t even get it? Your repair time must have been very fast, good to hear. :)

    Well it took a little under a week for them to get it, about 3 days for it to get back. When it hit close to a week (usps TOLD ME it’d be 2 or 3 days) I called, got “we don’t have it” and thought “oh shit someone stole it/it got lost in the mail” and got really worried.

    They got it though, usps just dragged their asses apparently.

    Interesting thing was, it was shipped back via UPS. I thought they had some kind of deal with the DHL or something? Oh well, she’s up and running now, and runs like a champion.

    David, I got the brand new also but I had warranty, because I bought it december 2005. I hear about this 1 year warranty extension. I got brand new 360 and extra faceplate :)
