Two new Halo products on the way…
Microsoft will be shipping the first of what will probably be a long line of Halo faceplates this fall. It’ll be $20 and the current GameStop date is 10/24/06.
Speaking of Halo, starting next year, Bungie and Marvel will be delivering a monthly comic dedicated to the Halo franchise The team that will work on it hasn’t been revealed yet, but Marvel said that when the writer and aritst are announced, we’ll be, “blown away”. They also believe Halo will be a gateway in bringing new people to comics of all kinds. Frankie from Bungie also said during the announcement that the inclusion of the other Spartans in the Halo story that have only been in the Halo novels is possible.
EDIT: Bungie just put up an article on this too (Wednesday evening) and the linked picture above now leads to a much bigger picture.

SWEET, MS needs to be putting out some “MS Faceplates” the 3rd party faceplates suck. I want that orange faceplate that says “Console”. Anyway, has anyone heard anything else about the Halo movie? Besides who is playing Master Cheif…

Np news yet, except they’re still trying to get a director. It looks like it would be a late 2007 release at this rate.

No love for the Forza or Viva Pinata faceplates? I like the Forza one better than the Halo and Viva ones, it’s got more style.

I’m surprised someone hasn’t linked this product as ‘evidence’ that Halo 3 comes out in October, despite the ‘2007′ tag on the E3 trailer. Some people will believe anything…

Is Peter Jackson not looking at it anymore? Or is he the producer?

He’s the Executive Producer and his special effects team from LoTR and King King (WETA team I think is the name) is doing the effects for Halo as well. He doesn’t want to direct cause he says he just wants to have fun with this one, cause he likes Halo, but doesn’t want to have to do the work. Hopefully he’ll just direct, and they don’t get that guy who did Hellboy and Blade 2 to do it…that’s who they were looking at last I heard.
