GRAW Chapter 2 Content
Since yesterday, you can now download the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Chapter 2 content from the Xbox Live Marketplace. This premium content is 1200 points and is available in all Xbox Live regions.
There is also a long list of video content for the new Superman movie.
Still no news on the Prey demo.

$15.00!!!!!!! Not a chance. I think they should have found a way to make this 2 or 3 smaller downloads for less money. I already spent $60 on the game, now another $15 for the extras, I’ll pass.

I don’t blame you. The PC content is free. If Microsoft wants Live to compete with the PC market and have Live be a big selling point in the next-gen war, they need to cool down on the DLC prices.

I have been reading many posts on blog sites and in some forums about the “GR:AW Chapter 2″ content. What I have been reading is:
“Screw this MS is ripping us off”
“its WAYYYYYYY too much, screw this”
“WTFZ ZOMG the’r charging us what??”
(for the record, its Ubisoft that set the price)
My take on it is this…if you like the game…and want to spend the money for a ton of new stuff, get it. To many of us it’s worth the money. I remember paying MORE for ‘Halo’ maps…but I don’t remember all the whining. People were excited about new maps. The developers worked hard to get some impressive content out.
Here is the kicker…
The wonderful thing here is, NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO BUY IT! I remember the ‘ESOB’ Horse armor, people flipped out of the’re skulls over that…I know that I didn’t buy it…and many didn’t. It didn’t effect me at all, here again, you have a choice…you can get it or pass.
Anyway, this probably had no real direction… Just thought that I would throw it out there. Feel free to throw stones…but remember I don’t work for Ubisoft and your probably one of the hundreds of thousands that payed premimum for Halo maps like me. Even if not in the first run, how many payed $19.99 for the multi player map pack? How soon we forget…

I look at it this way in regards to GRAW DLC. On PC the game was received lower scores than its 360 counterpart. Gamespot gave the PC version 7.8. (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/tomclancysghostrecon3/review.html?sid=6149136) noting that the game has ‘inexcusable bugs and oversights. The 360 version got a 9.2. (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/tomclancysghostrecon3/review.html?sid=6145620) So maybe Ubi Soft decided to make up for lesser product with free DLC. I’d rather have a higher quality product and pay for the DLC than have a bad game with free DLC. But that’s just me. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.
