Xbox 360 New Features & Article Fallout.
A company at E3 2006 was showing off the SDK they developed for Microsoft and Sony for the Xbox 360 camera and PS EyeToy. “We can’t tell you…what Microsoft is going to do. All we can tell you is what they can do…” As of last month, Xbox 360 developers had the tools needed to reproduce every demo Nintendo had on the E3 floor.
Also, the article yesterday brought unprecedented hits to the site. I got 1,800 new readers within hours, 400 of them came within a 60 second period in the late morning. The feedback has been great, about 85% has been positive, while the rest says it’s too biased, but I have yet to recieve any feedback that actually challenges anything I say. After my next update on The Halography, which will occur sometime in the coming weeks, I’ll be starting on a new article, not sure what about yet.

I feel sorry for your wallet. =/
But otherwise, good times. Very interesting story. I would hope that Microsoft wouldn’t stoop to Sony’s level, and try to steal Nintendo’s thunder. But hey, innovation brings on more innovation, right?
Nobody’s challenged you, because, well, there’s nothing TO challenge. The whole article is fair, level-headed, and makes total sense.

Nah, I don’t think they’re really going to outright copy Nintendo with this kind of stuff. They’re going to be using the camera and it’s technology to port faces into games and for video chat Arcade games, stuff like that. Same technology, different innovative uses it looks like.
