A few peices of Burnout Revenge related material have gone up on the Marketplace, and since the theme and picture pack are there (which are free at the Xbox 360 kiosks, as I reported a few days ago) it is likely that the 3 store specific cars (Best Buy, Circuit City, GameStop) may become available sometime in the future, but for a cost of something like 150 points, etc.
Here’s the content that went up:
Burnout Revenge Trailer in 480p and 720p (free)
Burnout Revenge Picture Pack (40 points)
Burnout Revenge Theme (150 points)
Also, some analysts are now saying that the Xbox 360 may surpass the 5 million systems sold by June figure, which was first forecasted by Peter Moore a few months ago. This is very good news for Microsoft, while in the past couple weeks, it’s been nothing but bad news for Sony. I haven’t reported on any of the rumors regarding any of the downfalls Sony may be experiencing, but next Sunday, on Major Nelson’s (Director of Xbox Live Programming) blog, at MajorNelson.com, he will be interviewing Josh Robinson.
Josh was fired from Sony for writing in an internet blog, that what he has seen over at Sony is not yet “next-gen” and that the current specs of the PS3 are most likely not what is going to be final. He also said that most people he talks with over there are saying the Xbox 360 is better. Sony fired him as soon as they saw the post on his blog…apparentely the truth hurts. Get the full story next Sunday night when Major posts his new blogcast, which will contain the interview with ex-Sony developer artist Josh Robinson!

A new website, http://www.origamiproject.com, has surfaced recently, and is registered and hosted by Microsoft. Engadget.com believes the site is hinting at a portable device from Microsoft, (probably Xbox related) but not much else is know. The website, after it’s little intro, tells you that more information will be revealed on 3.2.06, which is next Thursday, more news on this then.
Infinity Ward issued the following statement yesterday:
As you recall, back in December, we announced plans to incorporate Punkbuster, as well as offer some MP maps to the PC version for Call of Duty 2. We’re happy to report that this PC update is currently in testing and all is going well. In fact, we are testing these now and will be releasing them soon, so stay tuned. With regards to the update, here are a few things to look forward to:
- Punkbuster functionality.
- Two new multiplayer maps.
- HTTP redirect in multiplayer, which adds an option for modders to send players to an external website to download their maps and mods.
- Repair of multiplayer exploits and minor bug fixes
We’re also putting finishing touches on the map editing tools for the game and will have those out very soon as well.
On the Xbox 360 side, we’re also happy to tell you that we’re very close to releasing our second Title Update, improving the Xbox Live multiplayer functionality. Here’s what’s coming in that update:
1. Player Lag has been addressed
2. Private Game Lobbies / Reserved Slots
3. Enable Live Host to set custom game options
4. Map Preferences setting
5. Post Game Lobbies (players at end of match will return to lobby)
6. Enemy Player Name Notification
7. Kick Player (host ability)
8. Lobby Game Type, Map and Host Notification
Again, thank you for your support…and stay tuned for future updates!

It’s not announced yet, but it’s confirmed in my opinion.
If you go here - http://www.rainbowsixgame.com/us/
You’ll see the countdown on the right side, and as you can see, the countdown began at 360 hours, and has been going down ever since. The countdown will end in 11 days, and then we’ll have yet again another awesome game to look forward to!

Starting on April 1st, a 72 hour period will begin where Silver accounts will be able to play online just like a Xbox Live Gold account.
If you go here, to the Xbox.com Calendar, you will see the announcement in the bottom right. Right now, Silver accounts can do anything that Gold accounts can do, except play actual multiplayer games, and for this 72 hours, they will have that ability.

The upcoming Xbox 360 camera accessory (which will come out in May) will process all the video data within itself, which means it will not hamper any gameplay at all. Along with that, it will take 1.3 megapixel still photos, and when chatting with friends, you’ll get 30 frames per second, which is very smooth, especially for something like this. The camera could also be used for “gesture gaming” where your physical moments infront of the camera determine happenings within the game.
Peter Jackson has revealed that he has been in talks with Ubisoft (who owns the rights to a King Kong sequel if made) but said that there is nothing to discuss as of now. I would assume the sequel is coming, and this time, more playable time as King Kong.
New Dead Rising Trailer.
There’s also some images of the new Xbox Live Arcade title Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting here.
Within a week, we should have at least the demo of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, not to mention SF2: Hyper Fighting and The Outfit demo, which could be anytime within the next 1-2 weeks.

Due to some glitches in the demo of King Kong that recently went up on the Xbox Live Marketplace, the demo has been pulled. It’s not known when it’ll be back up, but they’re working on it. The glitches are not apparent in the full game.

Details on the new story mode included with Instincts:
“Jack will be again the main protagonist of the game. After the events of Far Cry Instincts, Jack returned to his home port in Micronesia. He thought he’d found paradise. But when a gorgeous woman draws him in on a dangerous heist, their sun drenched days take a chilling turn. Hunted for a murder he didn’t commit, Jack must draw on his most savage instincts to turn the tables and make his predators his prey.” - Jean-Francois Dugas - Creative Director.
He also confirmed that Far Cry Instincts Predator will be released for the Xbox 360 in late March.
